[Kaz cracks an eyelid open, breathing out. 'Course he'd notice, so Kaz shrugs and turns around to sit facing Aidan. (well, his ginormous dragon eye anyway)]

You said... Inherited. So... You weren't always a dragon. I was curious how that happened is all.

[He smiles sheepishly, like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.]

I don't really know myself. Perhaps the universe wished to give me a second chance, and gave me all of this power in order to use it to guide everyone.

[He had, after all, been the one who had taught the Mages of the Fifth World magic.]

[Kaz can only nod, because he can't even begin to fathom Father Aidan Clayce, and perhaps... He shouldn't. It's not his place. But he does admire the man, and this quiet moment is something he enjoys. The words that tumble out of his mouth are clumsy and child-like, though.]

You make a great teacher, Father.

[He is referring, of course, to the lesson in letting go Aidan and Cisco. Not his best learning moment, but the lesson taught was 100% worth it.]

I can name a few people who would disagree with you on that, but... thank you.

[Kaz tilts his head a little bit, but doesn't press. His phone goes off and that can only mean one thing: Class (or breakfast, which it actually is.)]

Oh. Looks like it's time to grab a bite. Father? I'm gonna head on over to the Great Hall. Wanna come with?

[clayce]

I'll stay here for a bit longer. Have a good day, Kaz.

[He stretches and waves as he walks off.]
